Caucasian Yoga

Caucasian Yoga is an art and science of awakening latent human faculties under divine grace and guidance. Practiced for millennia amongst the Circassian tribes, it is an ancient spiritual practice which stimulates the organs of the body, and the two hemispheres of the brain to collaborate harmoniously with the divine flow of Love.

Midnight Bektashi Sema

The Turkish folk tradition of Bektashi Dervish dancing combines both one's intimate personal relationship with God and the powerful collective energy between Men and Women. Like in the Persian Mevlevi tradition, there is an element of whirling. Yet in the Bektashi dancing, the turning is embedded in a circle dance combined with an intimate encounter between Men and Women.
There are also dances which emulate the four elements: earth, air, fire and water which came to Turkey from Central Asian Shamanism.
"Everybody come and dance!" – Murat Yagan
Lisa Talesnick is a student of Murat Yagan who took his early Sufi training with the Bektashi Dervishes near Istanbul in the 1930's.
